I'm Interested. Where do I apply?

Please visit the Victorian Government Careers website for a list of our current vacancies. If we have none listed, or nothing of interest to you, please sign up to job alerts and you’ll be notified when new opportunities arise.

Please submit your application and statement addressing the key selection criteria (found in the position description on the Vic Gov Careers page) before the closing date. Receipt of your application will be acknowledged by automatic email.  

What does the recruitment process look like?

If your application is shortlisted you will be invited to attend an interview at one of our sites (Melbourne or Cranbourne).

Some roles may require multiple interviews, phone-screening and/or practical assessment. RBGV will then seek to contact two references for the preferred candidate. Subject to the receipt of satisfactory references a verbal offer will be made.

Please note that some roles are subject to additional pre-employment checks including a police check and/or medical check.

If successful with your employment application, you will be required to enter into a contract which governs the terms and conditions of employment. All contracts include the standard period of probation.

We will contact all applicants regardless of the outcome, however this may take a few weeks so please bear with us. 

What should I submit as part of my application?

Your application should include a copy of your current CV, as well as a statement addressing the Key Selection Criteria (KSC) for the job you are applying (the KSC can be found in the position description). 

What are the eligibility requirements to work at RBGV?

All RBGV employees must have the necessary working rights for their position. All employees require a current WWCC, with some roles requiring a police check and/or pre-employment medical as part of the onboarding process. 
 

Do you have any work experience opportunities?

Unfortunately we are unable to facilitate work experience at this time. We hope to reintroduce this in the future, so please watch this space.
